What to expect at your first visit
We would like your first visit to feel unhurried. Here is how it goes.

Before you come
Book online or call. We check your benefits where we can, and you can fill in forms on our portal ahead of time.

When you arrive
Check in at the front. Bring the glasses you wear now, your plan cards and a list of your medicines.
- 03
At the exam
Your doctor talks with you, measures how you see, looks at the health of your eyes and explains what they find.
- 04
Afterward
You leave with your prescription, and the option to look at frames with Carmela the same day or another day.
- Sudden vision loss, flashes of light, a curtain over your vision, a chemical splash or an eye injury needs care now. Call our office right away or go to an emergency room. If you can't reach us, call 911.

Your glasses and contact lenses
The pairs you wear now, and your lens cases if you wear contacts.
Your plan cards
A vision plan card and a medical insurance card, if you have them.

On paper or in your phone, for your doctor to read.
